OK so sometimes I wonder where technology will take us. Will we someday all be gods, where all complete knowledge of everything is literally at our fingertips, where the trajectory of the human race can be mathematically plotted out like a calculus integral, where the area under a curve represents omnipotence and the partitions within this figurative Reimann sum represent technological advances and/or knowledge that approximate this so-called “omnipotence curve”, where as n approaches infinity the limit is, well, you-know-who? Like if you took a dude with like, an uber-advanced iPhone from the year 802,701 A.D. and sent him back in time to show off to a group of naive cavemen, what would that guy be to them, other than a complete douche bag? I’m not trying to say anything. I’m just wondering.

Does this mean that whether you believe in a higher spiritual power or not, if the human race is simply preserved and allowed to prosper, then inevitably no one’s really going to get away with anything? So like if you spent last night sobbing incessantly while applying clown’s makeup while inserting a gerbil up the holiest of holies, even if this was all done in the privacy of the bedroom, with closed curtains, someone out there in the way distant future is going to review the surveillance footage of your life and see that and think, What the fuck is he doing?? I’m asking for a friend.
