Is it just me, or has everyone accumulated about three dozen Superbowl bash invitations in these past couple weeks from various friends and coworkers looking to find an excuse to throw yet another ego-inflating housewarming party for themselves?
It makes me laugh when I click one of the many Evite invitations I've gotten, just to check on the current responses out of pure nosiness. I'll tell you what I saw from one guest list of 22 people: 2 said yes, 7 said they can't make it, and 13 non-confrontational souls have not yet replied.
Which begs only one possible question: if everyone in the country wants to host their own Superbowl party, which means no one wants to come to each other's, then are we all collectively going to watch the game this Sunday alone by ourselves, in our empty living rooms?

i know what you mean, ive gotten quite a few invites and I hate saying no. I just think everyone wants to get sloshed in their own home while celebrating a superbowl victory, its much more comfortable, esp if they have to work the next day.
you would think that most groups of friends would be drawn to the owner of the largest TV and naturally congregate there for the game
Yeah I was thinking the same thing the other day. The most pushiest inviters are your buddies girlfriends, who just think its fun to decorate the house and make appetizers. Whatever we ultimately decide on, for sure it will be a fun time and good game this Sunday.
One thing I hope to not come across at the superbowl party this Sunday though are those faggots who are only there to watch the commercials.
Hey, I'm not excited to decorate...Ron's excited about his new tv for the superbowl. I think he's more excited than me...just to watch in on that tv;) I figured you and Frank would have plans, but thought I'd invite you anyway. But with at least 20 people already coming, at least it won't be just us. However, even that would be just ok with me! We'll miss you though!
