Da Bears!
I was planning tonight on blogging about my weekend in Florida. But that can wait till tomorrow.
The Bears now take precedence to everything else in the world.
I'm so drunk and giddy and horny right now. My cell phone is ringing off the hook. The entire city of Chicago is having a simultaneous orgasm.
Jenny and I gave up midway through the 4th quarter when they were trailing 23-10 and an Arizona interception seemed to seal their fate. We left our bar early.
So we were walking home down Addison, when we suddenly noticed that everyone at the Sports Corner was jumping around screaming. The Bears had just recovered a fumble for a touch down.
We ran inside and couldn't believe our eyes.
Minutes later, Devin Hester, the Bears' all-or-nothing punt returner, ran for a touchdown, igniting our entire bar into a screaming match and mosh pit that I haven't been a part of since that Illini/Arizona college basketball game.
I can't stop smiling right now.
The best was the walk home, where Jenny and I walked past people yelling out the most beautiful phrase in all of the Chicago sports lexicon: "Da Bearssssss."
Someone asked us what we were screaming about and we told him that the Bears won 24-23. He didn't believe us. "Yeah right," he said. "Miracles don't happen."
Little did he know.

I was out to dinner with my siblings and gave up on the game...turned it off. It wasn't until I saw the IM Dave left me saying something is happening that made me look it up this mmorning. I thought they had lost for sure.
How could anybody back another team?!!

ya know, me, the uber sports fan was 'watching' the game on my blackberry. just on espn's website refreshing the score every so often, while i was at my business dinner. i gave up at like 20 to 3, and thought it was a done deal, apparently not. was plesantly surprised this morning when i heard they won.
so whens the next bears watching outing?
my place? 6 foot screen?
