There's no crying in basketball

Dear Adam Morrison,

You know, for a while there I bought into the hype about you. I mean, I actually had Gonzaga winning the whole damn thing. I loved your pornstache and the human interest story about your Type 1 diabetes, and I didn’t even think the comparisons to Larry Bird were off-base.

But dude, there were 1.9 seconds left in the game. 1.9 seconds left to salvage what was left of my bracket sheet. WHY DID YOU START CRYING???

Here’s a new rule of thumb, a rule that you should take along with you to the NBA next season should you declare for the draft: DON’T CRY UNTIL AFTER THE GAME IS OVER. AND EVEN IF THE GAME IS OVER AND YOU DECIDE IT’S OKAY TO LOSE A BIT OF YOUR DIGNITY, DON’T START CONVULSING ON THE MIDDLE OF THE COURT SOBBING WITH BOOGERS BUBBLING OUT OF YOUR NOSTRILS, LIKE THE RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE LISTENIN’ WANNABE SOCIALIST SISSY THAT YOU ARE. BECAUSE THAT REALLY RUINED MY NIGHT.

Until victory always,
Che

It's ok to cry once in a while, but Adam's cry baby tantrum was embarrassing for everyone to look at.

i felt a little bad for him. he carried them the whole season and then to have it end like that must have really hurt.

Fuck that he will never be Larry Bird...he'll be as good as Peja at best.

J.J. Redick was balling, too. But that's because he knows he will average 3 points a game in the NBA for the rest of his life because he can't create his own shot.

i think redick will be a fine NBA player, if he plays with a powerful post player, he will have plenty of open shots, which he will drain. He has improved dramatically every year while in school, and he will continue to work to be an admirable NBA player. You dont average 26 + points per game by not being able to create your own shot. The pros might be a different story though. Pete, you still would love to have the passion of Morrison on the bulls i bet! =)

HAHA! I don't pay any attention to sports but that entry was hilarious. "Boogers bubbling out of your nostrils"... bwahahah... oh god, eww!

J.J.'s performance the other night is an example of what happens when someone really atheletic guards him (and there are a few atheletic guards in the NBA). He might be able to play in the NBA a long time but he won't be a star.

And crying in public is just undignified. When the Lakers lost to the Spurs and had their 3-peat ended a few years ago Kobe cried like he was the hotel worker he raped. There is just no reason for it.
