Nathan

He's going to be the greatest of all the Nguyens, although that could change one day when I have a wife and start personally donating to the world's gene pool. In any case, his name is Nathan Scott Gomez, he weighs 6 pounds and 14 ounces, and he was given birth to by my Aunt Lan on Saturday night at 7:54 PM. Nine months ago, Uncle John provided the sperm that made this all happen.

Little Nathan's last name might be Gomez, but he's still a Nguyen in my book. Just look at him in the picture below. Seconds after clawing his way out of Aunt Lan's womb like a bat out of hell, Nathan lets his mother hear his voice for the very first time by screaming his guts out, begging for SOME MOTHERFUCKIN' DOCTOR TO PLEASE WIPE ALL THAT MOTHERFUCKIN' BLOOD AND PLACENTA OFF HIS MOTHERFUCKIN' FACE! A Nguyen, he definitely is.

Nate screaming

If nature and nuture take their proper course, this little twerp is going to have a great and successful life. All Nguyens are innately good-looking, charismatic, multi-talented, and intelligent. There are no losers in my family. And Aunt Lan is a big-money high school psychologist and Uncle John is a former physics prodigy, so OBVIOUSLY Nate is going to be a neurosurgeon. Shit, he might even cure cancer someday.

This is so exciting. I can't wait to watch my little cousin grow up.

Welcome to earth, kid.

My nephew's name is Nathan. I hope this kid does the world well like I know my Nathan will. Congrats to your family.

Congrats to the newly born Nguyen. Maybe he will grow to be the new "Greatest Asian in the history of the universe". Maybe one day he will be President Nguyen of the United States. Maybe he will be the first man to set foot on Mars. Oh the possibilities...

Dann, how could I forget your nephew, with those massive cheeks that I felt like biting in the same way that creepy aunts do?

We should have a bet to see who will turn out to have the greater Nathan. But we all know that my Nathan is going to definitely win.

So long as my nephew doesn't get the same apathy/lazy gene that I've got, it won't even be close. I'll say so long as your Nathan doesn't get your Icarus gene, he'll have a shot.

We can make a bet, "Trading Spaces"-style. $1.00.

My god, my mom's stupid tv-watching has affected my writing. I meant "Trading Places" with Eddie Murphy and Dan Ackroyd. I'm going to go cry now. Bye.
