Happy 23rd, Dave!

Chindo AKA DC AKA David AKA Chinny AKA Dave turned 23 yesterday. The dude is a fellow Bash Brother, my pranking partner in crime. One of my best friends.

I'm really glad last night turned out to be awesome, because it almost didn't. When a key person agrees to take Birthday Boy to the bar but then doesn't have the guts to tell the Birthday Boy he doesn't want to go anymore, it doesn't exactly bring the night off to a good start. When this key person doesn't answer his phone and hides inside his house all night instead of just telling Birthday Boy in person, like a man, that he can't make it, it's an act of cowardice. Sorry for the anger but that incident still steams me.

Nevertheless, we all made it work, and Dave had one of the best nights ever. If he could only learn how to embrace tequila instead of hiding behind vodka and tonics all night, then he'd REALLY have a good time!

A lot of people showed up and it just tickled me to see the grin on his face the whole night. Dave never usually has good birthdays, but last night certainly made up for all the times we've failed to come through for him.

At the end of the night I coaxed him into doing a shot of tequila with me. Dave's more of a vodka guy and didn't quite enjoy it, but what the hell did I care? I just wanted to get him trashed. I patted him hard on the back and asked how he was feeling, and Dave just paused for a second then smiled and said, "Perfect. I feel perfect right now, man."
